Introduction

This page explains the steps for connecting to a file share server on a PC computer running Windows 10. Once connected to a file share server, you can access your department's shared folders.

Note: To connect to a shared folder from off campus, you'll first need to connect to Biola's network using VPN.




How to Connect to the Files Server on a Windows PC

1Open the Windows File Explorer.

2Right-click on This PC, and select Map Network Drive.

When prompted, enter the appropriate address in the Folder field. Examples include:

\\files.biola.edu\<shared folder name>

\\storage1.biola.edu\<shared folder name>

Click Finish.

Open the Windows File Explorer.

Click on This PC, then right-click on the file share server and select Disconnect Network Drive.
