Introduction

This page includes the two methods for starting a Zoom Meeting for a scheduled class — 1) in a Zoom enabled classroom, and 2) on a computer.

Important Notes for those using a Zoom enabled classroom:

  • Five minutes before the scheduled start time of a course's Zoom Meeting and during the meeting's duration, the Zoom touch panel in the classroom will give Faculty the option to press Start Meeting.
  • If a Faculty does not press Start on the Zoom Classroom touch panel, but hosts the meeting from an alternate device, the meeting will continue and the Zoom Classroom will not join the meeting.

How to Start a Zoom Class Meeting in a Zoom Classroom

What to do:

Press Start on the Zoom Classroom touch panel.

Note: This button will only appear five minutes before the scheduled start time of a course's Zoom Meeting.

Notes:
  • As the scheduled start of the meeting approaches, the background color will change from blue to orange and then red to remind you to start the meeting.
