Full-time employees with a desktop computer who are transitioning to a flexible work arrangement can switch to a laptop by requesting an early upgrade.
Departments will pay the remaining value of the employee's desktop computer to help fund the change. Payments will be made over time (approximately $280 annually). IT was not provided new funding to cover the cost of early upgrades.
At the end of the laptop’s lifecycle it will be replaced following the normal guidelines and procedures of the employee computer placement program.
